Woodenbong in Yowie Country Is a Good Place to Start If You're Looking for Australia's Big Foot - ABC North Coast

If you're looking to book a cryptid inspired vacation in the new year, Woodenbong in northern New South Wales needs to go on your list of possible destinations. Unofficially known as the Yowie capital, Woodenbong has a long list of Hairy Man encounters but almost nothing in the way of evidence. So while you probably won't be able to take a selfie with an Australian Bigfoot, you can use up your vacation days trying. Over in the US, Nick Redfern describes One of the Strangest Bigfoot Incidents Of All. In the early part of the 1970s, Pennsylvania seemed to explode with reports of Bigfoot sightings. One in particular stands out because it includes a UFO encounter, a seemingly bullet-proof Sasquatch, and an airborne substance (brimstone?) that felled the police officers investigating the incident.
