Was reading creepy threads last night, reminded me of this event. Happened when I was around 12-13 years old (currently mid 20's). I moved a lot when I was a kid but had been in this house for a couple years by the time this went down. Normal day, don't remember much about it. On the fridge our family kept a whiteboard to write notes to each other, jot down groceries, that sorta shit. To give a quick layout, if you were facing the whiteboard/fridge, the kitchen doorway would be on your right, the oven behind you, the sink to the left, and the porch door in front of you just to the right of the fridge. My mom had gone out for a smoke on the porch as usual. I decided to doodle on the whiteboard, as usual. Midway through my drawing I saw something out of my peripheral vision that made me freeze. A translucent white figure was bent over into the doorway from the left side, half hidden behind the wall. It had no facial features except black voids for eyes. It stared at me for less than a second before I turned in shock and it vanished. I freaked out and didn't tell anyone for years, and I stayed away from that damn whiteboard. Still don't know what I saw. Only thing I sensed was an air of curiosity. Hasn't happened since but my memory has stayed clear and constant. Other strange things happened a lot, like hearing footsteps upstairs, odd banging noises, possible missing time, feelings of dread, being convinced of an alien presence outside my window (this one was especially weird and unusual). I'm actually typing this from the same house's living room, with a clear view of the kitchen doorway. My mom never moved, and neither her nor my older brothers have ever been bothered here. Place still creeps me out but events have been few and far between since growing up.
