To Go Where No One Has Gone Before: the SCU "Anomalous Aerospace Phenomena" Conference (AAPC) 2022 - Day One - Entaus

Michael Cifone presents a comprehensive look at the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies' early June conference. Michael first addresses what he believes is the SCU's unique value while bemoaning the underrepresentation of the philosophical approach to the phenomena. He has qualms with the keynote address, for very interesting if debatable reasons. Day Two of the conference was "very rich and successful," says CifoneĆ¢€”though again he confesses he got "cranky" with a presentation. Here, however, his discussion illuminates issues even larger than the conference's focus. Day Three (Part One of Two) describes and evaluates the UAPx expedition whose odyssey was presented in the documentary A Tear in the Sky. Cifone covers the "nuts and bolts" of creating "UAP Science" as well as sketching the four potentially-anomalous (and still under study) cases last July's five-day effort managed to "bag." And Day Three (Part Two of Two) attempts to unravel what Cifone terms "approximately half a dozen presentations somehow stuffed into one giant, all-encompassing Magical Mystery Tour of a talk." Michael challenges Col. John Alexander's apparent "bias" that "consciousness, in some fundamental way, is the unifying principle of every paranormal, parapsychological and ufological phenomenon human beings have ever experienced." Cifone looks forward to next year's SCU conferenceĆ¢€”at which, just perhaps, he might get "a seat at the table"? (WM)
