The Bermagui Mystery and Five Vanished Men - Mysterious Universe

There's no end to the vanishing stories lately, so here are two of many from the last week or so. This first tale involves the disappearance of five men gone fishing, never to return home again. Their grounded boat was eventually discovered among shoreline rocks, covered in vomit and showing signs of having been intentionally run aground or perhaps attempted to be sunk. Stranger still is A Mysterious Vanishing and the Strange Death of the Man in the Chimney. This case revolves around the disappearance of a young man who was apparently healthy, reasonably happy, and with no history of bad habits that would have got him in with the wrong crowd. And yet his mummified corpse was found stuffed into a chimney from the inside of a neglected old cabin. The only lead was ignored by the police, leaving even more unanswered questions. And it seems in these cases the only elements that accumulate are the unanswered questions. (CM)
