History's Greatest Mysteries -- A Quick Analysis - A Different Perspective

Roswell is the quintessential UFO story that keeps on giving, but the dissatisfying conclusion to History's three-parter left loose threads. Kevin Randle details some of the (in some cases surprising) weaknesses in that episode. Rich Reynolds was also disappointed in The History Channel's Final Airing of its Greatest Mystery Roswell Series, Number 3. Rich too was taken aback by the appearance of 1973 Pascagoula Mississippi abduction claimant Calvin Parker. Nick Redfern had only seen the first two series installments when he wrote Roswell: TV Documentaries and Why Things Aren't Working. But Nick is prescient in his negative expectations and has a partial exoneration in that "TV cannot deliver what needs to be delivered." His additional reasoning is multiple and interesting. Curt Collins turns in a fascinating expose behind how with Roswell: The Major's Testimony and its publishing virtually "exploded" the case into the public eye. (WM)
