Erlendur Haraldsson (1931-2020) - Parapsychology

We are sad to hear of the passing of this renowned parapsychologist and prolific author who was on the faculty of social science at the University of Iceland. "I feel that Erlendur contributed greatly to expand the importance of seeing the phenomena outside of the confining experimental walls," notes Carlos Alvarado, who while working at the University of Virginia as a research assistant for Ian Stevenson was assigned to help Erlendur finish his book about Sathya Sai Baba. "He reminded us of personal experiences, the phenomena of mediums, and of the richness and implications of powerful experiences such as deathbed visions and apparitions, and later, recollections of previous lives." Erlendur's parapsychological autobiography will be published by White Crow Books next spring. The life and times of another noted explorer of consciousness is the subject of a proposed documentary on the late Colin Wilson: Dreaming To Some Purpose.
