A research company in Australia has developed a test that can identify Thylacine DNA. That means anywhere an alleged Tasmanian Tiger has been spotted, there exists a possibility that a sample of genetic material might be left behind. This is not unlike the recent search for Nessie DNA in Loch Ness. Meanwhile Glasgow Boy did a little digging and uncovered a newspaper article from 1934, right about the time Nessie first started making the news.
Bobby the Sea Serpent of Loch Ness was a sad attempt at naming the great orm in the loch, but it didn't catch on, thankfully. Then again, there are those who find "Nessie" too familiar a name; perhaps she would enjoy being called the Krakken more? (CM)
