This is a fascinating and believable journey with writer Leslie Kean (perhaps best known for co-authoring The New York Times story breaking the lid open on the Pentagon's investigation of UFOs in December of 2017) who has also made it her job to find out whether or not the afterlife exists. Her open mindedness and well-honed skepticism enabled her to confidently conclude that there is life beyond this life. It's vital to never underestimate the value of true skepticism, which is why it's disheartening to learn How James “the Amazing� Randi Hindered His Own Movement. It seems to have been a mix of obstinance and an unwillingness to accept a growing feminist presence within the skepticism movement that proved his undoing. Regardless, even his critics concede that Randi provided a valuable service to the vulnerable who were easy prey for charlatans. (CM)
