First, from the land of fire and ice, we have a video of the Dettifoss waterfall near the edge of a cliff. While surreal in its beauty, there is nothing odd about it, until a small, dark figure becomes visible on the rocks toward the bottom of the screen. Whatever or whoever it is, they look to be moving with purpose, albeit in a stiff, awkward manner. Check out the video and see for yourself why we can't outright say hoax, tourist, or elf. Next, Dr. Shuker asks the hundred dollar question,
When Is A Cryptid Not A Cryptid? When It's The Megamouth Shark…Maybe? Discovered off the coast of Hawaii in the 1970s, this shark specimen was not the stuff of Hollywood thrillers. Shuker describes this shark species as a "dedicated planktivorous filter-feeder, swimming slowly through the sea with its huge mouth wide open, filtering water for plankton and jellyfishes." Be sure to look at the included photos; we can almost guarantee they aren't what you are expecting. (CM)
