Looks like 2020 continues to keep it weird, dropping a catch of fish on a Sri Lankan village in the dry season. According to witnesses, the fish were very much alive, wriggling, and not of a type kept in aquariums. Determining the cause of this fish fall is not a clear process, however. As Esoterx explains in
Sense and Supersensibility: The Procession of the Damned, much of what we believe in as a whole involves things unseen. Therefore, much of what we think we know is the result of inference, and applying made up rules to provide some kind of structure to our world. So how much of any investigation is inference and how much is concrete evidence? And who's to say we shouldn't just have a big fish fry and call it a day? (CM)
