On December 5, 1945, a designation of five Torpedo bombers known as Flight 19 disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle without a trace. As a result, no bodies from these doomed bombers were ever recovered. Kevin Randle explores what might well have been a US Navy coverup, reporting on a grave marker in Arlington Cemetery for a staff sergeant who lost his life that day, one of many who never came back from the ill-fated flight. But if no bodies were recovered, who or what is buried in that cemetery plot? Randle gets to the bottom of this mystery in
Flight 19, George Paonessa and the Bermuda Triangle. Then for those of you who don't like tidy little packages, Randle interviews Flight 19 researcher and historian Andy Marocco. His take on what happened in 1945 is unlike most others, and he maintains the ill-fated flight may in fact have come to rest more than 30 miles outside the Bermuda Triangle. You can listen to the interview here:
Andy Marocco and Flight 19. You may not look at Bermuda Triangle mysteries the same way again. (CM)
