If you ever find yourself engaged in an argument with someone insisting that an intermingled Church and State is a benign entity, tell them how the US government tried to weaponize religion for psychological warfare. This first example details the damage done to Communist forces when stories were spread of the Virgin Mary appearing and expressing her support for the West.
