The Mysterious Mothman Does Chicago - Mysterious Universe

Reports of winged humanoid entities come in with increasing frequency and still we are no closer to solving the mystery of Mothman or its ilk. The city of Chicago seems to be getting more than its fair share of visitation from the red-eyed monster, but there have also been sightings of a Large Bat-Winged Creature in Lebanon, Ohio. Given that most sightings occur at night, one has to wonder if the bat-like description is due to our brains trying to make sense of something that cannot be understood. Giant 'Bird Man' in Auburn, Illinois is indicative of a creature that wants to avoid human contact (We all have those days!) and generally appears non-aggressive. Yet The Bizarre Man Bat of the Mississippi describes a creature that is not only hostile, but well equipped to defend itself. Mysterious “Birdman� Costume Discovered In A Siberian Grave may provide evidence that not only have  "mothmen" been among us for very long time, but that historically they were treated as spiritual entities like the Thunderbird. Monsters or Spirits, these strange flying creatures continue to perplex and terrify, revealing nothing of their purpose to the tiny earthbound humans below. (CM)
