Taping the Tapping Ghost - Fortean Ireland

Here's a surprising article from the Belfast Telegraph in 1960. An actual "Ghost Recording" group was called in to uncover evidence of a haunting, documenting its findings which were then published in a serious fashion in the newspaper--no fancy gadgets or film crews or ghost hunters becoming possessed by the evil spirits of those who had gone before. Makes us a little nostalgic, to tell the truth. In more current news, Cops Say Ghost Hunters Trashed School. There always has to be a few who ruin it for the rest, and in this case so-called ghost hunters included wanton vandalism as part of their MO. Not everyone believes in spooks but no one argues the existence of jerks. (CM)
