Brent Swancer opens a set of UFO "rockstar cases" with an entity sighting connected with a purported UFO crash. Swancer finds persuasive the explanation of skeptic Joe Nickell, and links to Nickell's
Skeptical Enquirer piece on the subject. The creators of the new tv series
Project Blue Book used that case and diagnosis in one of their episodes. Micah Hanks describes an at base more typical UFO event in
Tentacles and Telephone Lines: The Colusa, California UFO Incident of 1976. What is "arguably, one of the most unusual UFO incidents of the 20th century" is an electromagnetic or CE2-em report, featuring a strange story and a bizarre detail of seeming "tentacles" emanating from a UFO. While very rare, this 1976 case has a similar predecessor in an October 1909 La Porte, Indiana, 15-minute multiple-witness sighting also involving reported animal reactions. Interestingly enough, a main witness in Miguel "Red Pill Junkie" Romero's
"Speak Louder" Asked the Aliens from Planet UMMO has a name rather like that of Colusa, California's witness Bill Pecha. In February of 1966 Spaniard Jose Luis Jordan Pena claimed to have sighted an object with a strange emblem on its underside looking rather like )|( or )+(. Thus began a weird Contactee saga, as ably covered by Romero. Not only covered, but extended, for Romero thinks there's more to the UMMO affair than a hoax perpetrated by Pena. We close with a surpassingly odd tale related in
23 Soldiers Turned To Stone By UFO After It Was Shot At - CIA Report Confirms (On Their Website). One doesn't have to buy the speculations of the
UFO International Project to marvel at the referenced CIA document. (WM)
