6 Possible Scientific Reasons for Ghosts - Scientific American

Here's one for the category "It Doesn't Have To Be Paranormal To Be Weird." Researchers have come up with 6 plausible causes for ghostly encounters and not one of them deals with dead people or ancient curses. But they are common enough to make you a little paranoid, especially if you're inclined toward conspiracies and mind control. But let's follow that with something that defies science: The Water Ghost of Leicester is a fascinating but soggy tale of an anomaly following a family from house to house, spurting water from all corners, floors, ceilings, and walls, flooding their home on an almost nonstop basis. While it might not have been classic polt activity, the fact that it started when the youngest family member turned 13, and moved whenever the family moved, is at least notable. You might feel like skipping your shower after this one. (We don't recommend doing that.) (CM)
