The 'Oumuamua Conundrum - Daily Grail

One of the most hotly contested topics in astronomy today concerns 'Oumuamua, that cigar-shaped interstellar visitor spied in 2017. Once the thrill wore off, mainstream astronomers concerned with grants and tenure shrugged and dismissed it as an asteroid. Avi Loeb decided to push the envelope, arguing his own extraterrestrial hypothesis. Considering his Harvard pedigree, it's ruffled some feathers and Red Pill Junkie offers a stalwart defense of thinking outside of the box based on Loeb's maverick propositions. While Red Pill is just the best damned artist and fortean south of the border, rather than a doctoral candidate, he's not alone. Take Jason "Dyson Sphere around Boyajian's Star" Wright with some strong words regarding รข€˜Oumuamua, SETI And The Media. Rather than creating a dialogue, much to everyone's surprise mainstream media's more keen on dividing audiences and society. Good thing they don't have the power to help elect a remarkably hateful and racist person to public office. Of course Avi Loeb is perfectly capable of defending himself, despite his respectable company, and take a few minutes for this Harvard Astronomer Defending His Theory This Interstellar Object Could Have Been A Spacecraft after all. He doesn't have that framed sheepskin just for trimming his toenails, true believers. (CS)
