Nick Redfern, whose 400-page Area 51: The Revealing Truth of UFOs, Secret Aircraft, Cover-Ups & Conspiracies has all sorts of fascinating topics on the tract of land under discussion, here covers how gobs of Nevada Desert came to be gobbled up by the U.S. Air Force illegally. Nick follows this up with A Secret Base: "Groom Mountain Area is Withdrawn." He's speaking from government documents here--or rather and more powerfully allowing those documents to speak for themselves. With Marilyn Monroe, Area 51, and the Secret "Site Y" Nick's speculation ties the famous actress in with the book/movie Seven Days in May--and, of course, Area 51. Extrapolation, surely, plausible, maybe--but entertaining and thought-provoking, assuredly. Now all this Area 51 stuff would hardly be known were it not for a controversial whistleblower, so Jim Harold gives us Talking Bob Lazar and Area 51--Paranormal Podcast 570. Jim's guest is, however, not Lazar himself, but filmmaker Jeremy Kenyon Lockyer Corbell (JKLC), who's promoting his new documentary about Lazar. Of course, JKLC is Lazar's biggest fan, but the podcast gives a decent exposition of Lazar's claims and, of course, "the making of the movie." (WM)
