Micah Hanks makes a less than heartening suggestion that Americans on the whole are biased against the paranormal--unless of course it features sexy ghost hunters and techno gadgetry. Most serious US scientists with an interest in the unexplained have become clever at masking their research in order to protect their careers. Should Reality Make Us Glad or Sad? Depends on who you ask, the belief system they most readily gravitate towards, their level of sanity and whether or not they've just witnessed their loved ones being gutted. True happiness is described as a knife edge between heaven and hell, so to speak, and while it may be attainable we now feel so depressed we're going to spend the rest of the day binging on all five seasons of Grace and Frankie, and making it our job to eat an entire container of Ben & Jerry's peanut butter chocolate.
