FOIA Master/Archivist Extraordinaire and UFO researcher John Greenewald does a "live" presentation from which he later splits off separate topics. Interspersed are Q&A "gems" including John's perspectives on Figures in UFO News and his "Favorite 'Old School' Case." John's first main topic starts at about 11:22 of this podcast. Its title: "DOD Refuses To Release Key Documents On UFO Office; Cites National Security Interest." This is
not John's request for additional Navy videos—that was another and completely denied FOIA. Rather, here John's targeting the creation of the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AIMSOG). From what he received, John discovered a "new" official and more about another one who played key roles in forming the group, as well as different departments designated to participate in AIMSOG. What John
didn't learn, or rather learned from documents withheld or from redactions within what he got released, supports his belief the veil of secrecy is descending upon the new DOD/IC effort, whatever its eventual name will become. The second presentation, "The CIA and UFO "Material," starts at about 1:01:01 and deals with two documents that seem to infer that actual physical "stuff" of suspected anomalous origin was being handled by CIA folks and associates. And facts behind the original documents' "disappearance" after redactions had been made, forestalling any benefit from Mandatory Declassification Reviews, further underscore the decades-old nature of the DOD's "secrecy" policy.
