City Honors Friedman, Marcel on Star Walk of Fame - The Roswell Daily Record

Two figures intimately associated with the greatest UFO controversy have been honored by the town they helped "put on the map." Roswell Daily Record's Juno Ogle reports and photographs the descendants of Jesse Marcel and Stanton Friedman during the dedication ceremonies. Ermal Shala's excerpts from James Fox' movie The Phenomenon trailers include Marcel as well as just-passed Harry Reid and a bevy of living personalities while focusing upon the late Former US Air Force UFO Program Director Col. Robert Friend's Claim" "I Know The Truth About All These UFOs!" Shala emphasizes the timing of Col. Friend's death in relation to that documentary, and showcases Friend's very interesting testimony. The life of a level-headed researcher who "saw it all" in ufology from Arnold until quite recently is well-presented by Loren Coleman's George W. Earley Passed Away in 2020. George and his wife Margo were amazing individuals, as this tribute proves. Ufology and deaths certainly crossed Loren's mind when he composed this encomium to the Earleys, for he had just posed the question Will A Ufologist Die On June 24, 2022? Perhaps Robert Sheaffer didn't have to worry personally, but Loren's list of passings—some of them strange indeed—makes for surprising and eerie, as well as informative, reading. (WM)
