In the world of the unknown there seems to be a limitless supply of "experts" who will happily take our money (or waste our time) and tell us about the "typical behavior" of whatever it is being investigated. As Esoterx points out, if there was such a compendium of knowledge available that one could speak with certainty about an anomaly, then it would no longer be an anomaly but a known thing. That segues nicely into this next post
About the Usefulness of Anomalies in Science. It's these aberrations that compel scientists to continue their work instead of sitting back and declaring there is nothing left to learnĂ¢€”like the blip of a D on an otherwise stellar report card. There is always something left unknown and therefore always something left to learn. (CM)
