Transcendental Skepticism - Entaus

Reflections on fundamental approaches to ufology begin with this impressive effort by a "new" blogger. Michael Cifone attempts to get towards the bottom of the UFO conundrum by considering how one should approach that "unknown" quantity. Cifone explains differing ways of analyzing a recent purported airline encounter video and the 2015 "GIMBAL" video, and the deeper philosophical issues concerned. Be sure also to read Cifone's inaugural April 16th Prolegomena for Future UFO Science. Bryan Sentes recommends this new blog, and shows how it's complementary to his own researches in Entaus: Notes Towards A Ufological Science of the Future. The distinction: Bryan focuses upon the meaning of the UFO phenomenon/a, while Michael is after "just what a knowledge or science of that reality might be." These efforts will challenge many of us but fully merit our consideration as we seek to understand just what's going on with UFOs and their complete human implications. Jack Brewer sets upon possibly a simpler question in how people "discuss" ufology and ufological "facts"--yet it seems grounded in both Michael and Bryan's concerns. Jack's Debate or Advocacy? examines something beneath so much of the confusion and lack of real progress in the field. (WM)
