Erica Lukes Interview - The Paracast

Gene Steinberg and co-host Tim Swartz welcome UFO researcher-podcaster Erica Lukes. Conversation topics might be categorized "crusaders, crooks, clowns, conspiracies and cults." Starting with praise for archival heroes Barry Greenwood, Jan Aldrich, and David Marler, the conversation flags a bit towards podcast's end. But fireworks aplenty fill the middle as Erica and company name names in recent ufological discourse. Lukes doesn't mince words about the "paranormal Disneyland" that is Skinwalker Ranch. While it's professedly been studied scientifically for decades by some reputable people, formal publication of findings has been lacking about what's portrayed as an extremely dangerous site. More on ufology's maladies comes from Rich Giordano, UFO Hoaxes And/Or Ops, courtesy of Alex Tsakiris' Skeptiko. Alex and Rich consider some of the same folks as did the Paracast, plus several more. Alex's interchanges are lively, opinionated, and sometimes a bit scattered with Giordano, Host/Owner of "Greatest UFO Network" (GUFON), on current ufology's large and smaller personalities and issues. And the Night Dreams Saturday host Thomas Wertman chats with Tea Krulos On Conspiracies. Krulos has studied in-depth some paranormal researchers and several stranger cultish enthusiasms. Thomas and Tea particularly focus upon Tea's most recent book, American Madness: The Story of the Phantom Patriot and How Conspiracy Theories Hijacked American Consciousness. Throughout this podcast is thoughtful, its stories sometimes frightening, sometimes poignant and compelling, often surprising, but always fascinating. (WM)
