Heavenly UFOs? Part 1 - The Observer

Various forms of Christianity-based reactions to UFO origins and purposes form the subject of this article and its concluding Part 2. The Observer describes some of the fascinating lesser-known books and positions from an admittedly diverse set of possible sources. John Rimmer's focus is far narrower in Separating Belief and Reality. Rimmer describes developments in the life of the person profiled in Ralph Blumenthal's The Believer: Alien Encounters, Hard Science, and the Passion of John Mack. While unfriendly to the physical reality of UFO abductions, Rimmer does a decent job of delineating the life and belief odyssey of this complicated individual. Rimmer is complimentary about Blumenthal's study itself, which as Rimmer concludes "leaves one wondering just where his life would have taken John Mack if it had not been so tragically cut short."
