Wanuskewin Heritage Park in Saskatchewan, Canada, is close to achieving its goal of being declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site following the discovery of several petroglyphs in an area frequented by grazing bison. It is in fact due to the bisons' activity that the thousand-year-old artifacts were uncovered at all, and considering the petroglyphs depict bison, the whole situation is being viewed as very fortuitous indeed.
