Here's more on a very strange case we highlighted the day before Thanksgiving. Scott Corrales translates an interview regarding the mysterious 65-kilometer transportation of a now-named Argentinian woman in mid-November. The interview unfortunately produces more comedy than understanding of the particulars. Luis Burgos summarizes what is known of the strange events in
A Contrarian Viewpoint: Argentina's Alleged Abduction in La Pampa. Burgos finds "regrettable" the police-legal system response, the "UFO circus" of the tv interview, and the fact that witness Irma Rick did not surrender her mobile phone for examination. He also notes a 2002 experience Ms. Rick claimed, and in the present story "'condiments' drawn from three other cases" from that area.
Inexplicata also presents
Colombia: Unidentified Object Recorded as Airliner Lands. The same news source behind the Irma Ricks interview has the footage from this event, which the cellphone videographer, a locally famous "Colombian-Argentine musician, composer, television presenter and reality show judge" captured without seeing the speedy object himself. Paul Seaburn's
UFO at Colombian Airport Reported by Multiple Media Sites sounds as dubious about this event as Burgos is of the Irma Ricks "teleportation." (WM)
