Exoplanets Found To Be Plentiful in the Galactic Bulge - Centauri Dreams

In the scant 30 years of surveying the sky for exoplanets, it's been proven that our galaxy is rife with planets. Whether humans, or you-know-who, can live there has yet to be determined. Still hope springs eternal for Paul Glister who's seriously pumped over Naoki Koshimoto and pals's observation of the Milky Way's galactic bulge and its own planetary population. Hopefully Vernor Vinge isn't right with his Zones of Thought where the galactic core is known as the unthinking depths. Keeping with this theme, Michael Grosso's been Searching For The Music Of The Spheres. Music has some very queer effects upon minds, human and otherwise, and how an Indian monk taught him that our lives are music and we are the instruments which play our tunes. (CS)
