Here are a pair of documentaries to stretch your mind and bend your concept of what is possible or even real. First up is the story of Dr. Jacobo Grinberg, a Mexican neurophysiologist and psychologist whose work with the boundaries of consciousness attracted the attention of both the US and Soviet Union during the Col War. And then, as Red Pill Junkie relates in this review, he was gone. Next up is a short film,
The Wormwood Star Is a Portrait of the Mysterious Occult Artist Marjorie Cameron. Cameron's life was strange by most standards. Married to rocket scientist Jack Parsons, who believed her to be the "elemental woman" he had conjured in a Thelemic ritual, she joined in Parson's occult practice and produced art that was both unsettling and wildly creative. However, in an act of ritual suicide, Cameron destroyed much of her own artwork, making the images found in this documentary all the more intriguing and view worthy. (CM)
