Are UFOs Technological or Some Other Kind of Phenomena? - UFO Conjectures

Spanish journalist/ufologist Jose Antonio Caravaca offers more evidence in support of his "Distortion Theory" regarding UFO (and other paranormal) close encounters. Courtesy of Rich Reynolds, Jose answers that "cultural filters," which are different and also change over time in different cultures, are what makes UFOs seem in today's thinking to be "nuts and bolts" extraterrestrial craft. Rich then takes the podium with The Psychological Folly of the Extraterrestrial Obsession to expound upon some of the "filters" through which different groups of people view potential ET visitation. Rich proposes his own vision of the issue, and invites discussion. It's not surprising that Rich elsewhere recommends Veronica Esposito's 'Our Fascination is Rooted in Hope': Why We're So Obsessed with UFOs. This appreciation of JJ Abrams' new Showtime docuseries "UFO" is replete with examples of those "filters" and what Abrams' collaborator Glen Zipper regards as their underlying--and driving--emotion. Super Determinism and UFOs, among other things, fleshes out a bit why Rich thinks sussing out UFOs just might be so important--and it's not so much their "technological phenomena" aspect that Jose also questions.
