The Bizarre Case of the Teleporting Pansini Brothers - Mysterious Universe

"Teleportation is the hypothetical transfer of matter or energy from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them," according to Wikipedia. Hypothetical? Not so much, as demonstrated by these tales of now-you-see-'em, now-you-don't. This first story takes place at the turn of the century and initially sounds like poltergeist activity. Eventually though it becomes clear that something far stranger is going on. It's not the first recorded incident of alleged teleportation though. From the 1600s we have The Bizarre Case of the Teleporting Nun. Although it could also be argued that this was a case of bilocation rather than teleportation, the impact on the peoples of the New World where she appeared was the same. It would be reasonable to ask, Teleportation: Is it Feasible? The answer is yes, although on a much smaller scale than in the previous two reports--at least when it is performed intentionally. (CM)
