Webster v. Molesworth: Amateur Ghost Hunting and Scottish Rental Law - EsoterX

Noisy neighbors ain't no fun, but in 1835, a Captain Molesworth's attempts to locate the offending racket mightily ticked off his landlord, Mr Webster, since he happened to be the accused neighbor. Having gone to unreasonable extremes to locate the Earthly or ethereal source, a lawsuit followed, which modern-day ghost-hunters might do well to keep in mind. But in our own time, we learn that the Mysterious Hum in Scottish Town of Nairn Unexplained for Years is still no nearer to resolution. An incessant "low frequency pulsing noise" is not only deeply frustrating and unpleasant for locals, but is also impacting their health. Several local authority investigations have not found the source of this distressing din. (LP)
