Paranormal and adult content writer, producer, director, and actor Timothy Green Beckley has passed, according to Loren Coleman's detailed obituary. Coleman says the cause of death was an apparent heart attack. Ufological fans likely will most remember Beckley as the energy behind numerous "pot boiler" saucer book collaborations of late, with lurid covers and often rather strange titles. As Tim Binnall observes in the text to an Audio Tribute to Timothy Green Beckley, Beckley "wrote and published at least 250 books on UFOs and the paranormal." Both Binnall and Coleman note Beckley's presence in ufology since the early days of the field, and Binnall's reprise of Beckley's 13th Coast to Coast appearance reminds that the voluble Beckley had many stories to tell. On a happier note regarding another ufological loss, CBC News' Elizabeth Fraser reports Stanton Friedman Fans over the Moon about New UFO Exhibit at the Fredericton Region (New Brunswick) Museum. The larger-than-life Friedman was probably ufology's best-known figure, a strong proponent of the ETH for UFO origins and Ufology in general against their detractors, and a controversialist who always loved to debate his ideas.
