Close Encounters: Democrats and Republicans Unified in Taking UFOs Seriously - The Washington Post

Not often does a mainstream media source publish as many UFO-significant articles within such a short time period. Save for an uncomfortable association of openness to the UFO problem with a passion for conspiracy theories, Ashley Parker's historical sketch is fact-packed and rather absent the usual "debunking" voices. Michael S. Rosenwald also relates How UFO Sightings Went from Joke to National Security Worry in Washington. This May 23rd article is in the same vein as, and is complementary to, Parker's June 1st effort. And two established scientists again share their Opinion: We're Asking the Wrong Questions about UFOs. Ravi Kopparapu and Jacob Haqq-Misra present another well-reasoned essay lamenting the lack of scientists in studying UFOs and promoting their engagement. This is a more specific follow-on to their groundbreaking July 27, 2020 Scientific American opinion piece 'Unidentified Aerial Phenomena', Better Known as UFOs, Deserve Scientific Investigation.
