UFOs Regularly Spotted in Restricted U.S. Airspace, Report on the Phenomena Due Next Month - 60 Minutes

In a truly remarkable on-air segment, CBS's highly respected news magazine covers the current Big News in ufology. This Bill Whitaker piece features Luis Elizondo, former F/A-18 pilots Ryan Graves, David Fravor, and the visual and named appearance of Fravor's wing in 2004, Lt. Alex Dietrich; as well as Christopher Mellon and Senator Marco Rubio. The whole is serious, frank, and a powerful argument for the governmental need to take UFOs/UAPs seriously. Then 60 Minutes Overtime follows up with Navy pilots recall "unsettling" 2004 UAP sighting, an expansion on the Dietrich/Fravor part of the on-air piece with Mellon commentary. Then there's the short video Former Navy pilot says he regularly detected UFOs, calls them security risk, and to provide some balance, over at CBS Sunday Morning is UFO Studies and the Possibility of Alien Origin. SETI's Seth Shostak leads and concludes, playing the role of "expert rebuttal witness," while Leslie Kean offers sensible and measured remarks for the pro-UFO case, Avi Loeb furnishes a break with his Oumuamua theory and the carping response of some of his astronomical fellows, but at the end they're stated as together in advocating that the government and scientific community should expend more resources "on the search for alien life."
