Tasmanian Tigers Are Extinct. Why Do People Keep Seeing Them? - The New York Times

Judging by Asher Eblein's leading sentence, "The Tasmanian tiger is still extinct. Reports of its enduring survival are greatly exaggerated" one can assume his bias. Sadly for the Gray Lady, there's not much in the way of journalism. Rather speculation on the phenomenon of thylacine sightings and placing the onus squarely on the shoulders of those who believe. Deeply disingenuous and notionally scientific, but a must-read to appreciate how the other side of the aisle thinks and which conceits they hold close to their hearts. (CS)
