The authors note this general area of the Pacific has been one of interest for quite some time, and a (third hand) report noted in 2004 Nimitz UFO documentarian Dave Beaty's 2020 Twitter thread calls the phenomena "the same tic-tac shaped objects." While the largely-FOIA results of The Drive's efforts don't give anything "beyond lights in the sky," the compound incidents certainly had the Navy concerned, with the "drones" demonstrating long-distance and extended flight time characteristics, plus unusually good coordination and location abilities.
