William Shatner on Looking For Ancient Aliens - OpenMinds

UFOs in the media begin with a William Shatner promo for a combined Ancient Aliens/UnXplained cast get-together last Friday. Alejandro Rojas serves up The Usual Easy Questions, and Shatner does a generally good job handling them. Trepidation about the program seemed justified by Jason Colavito's Review of Ancient Aliens S16E06 "William Shatner Meets Ancient Aliens". Jason's generally cranky on the "AA" subject, but his numerous points are mostly dead-on and it appears the program is a pastiche of moth-eaten material and memes, supposedly vivified by the presences of living people mouthing them. Nigel Watson has some kinder things to say about Roswell, the First Witness, which after its U.S. airing is now on British tv screens. Watson notes the series "has a few new twists and turns that make it worth a watch." And Mrherr Zaar asks Remember That Scene in Spielberg's CE3K where the Uncorrelated Targets from the North Northwest Formed the Big Dipper? Zaar does, noting an example of art imitating life in a 1953 case report. (WM)
