There be ORCs in the universe, and we're not talking the shock troops of Sauron. Astronomers Anna Kapinska, Emil Lenc, and Ray Norris are excited about these spectral signatures against the CMB simply because the more pedestrian explanations have been ruled out. As to their provenance, well let's just say these odd radio circles could be odder than anyone expects. Other high strangeness is making itself known to earthbound observers with reports of Astronomers Finding Two Failed Stars Wandering The Universe Together somewhere in the constellation of Ophiuchus. While they may be "failures", Rob Lea, at least they're not alone and accept each other without judgement regardless of their accomplishments. Oh yeah, the science behind the discovery and the pairing is notable too! Meanwhile in our neighborhood, some astronomers in Colorado may have found the remains of a former planet haunting the solar system.
