The last time Earth had a very short day was July 5, 2005 but July 19, 2020 stole that thunder by being 1.4602 milliseconds shorter. While normal perception of time is largely unchanged, these discrepencies add up and Wesley LeBlanc has more than a few things to say about the phenomenon. Except there are other questions like, "Why are things speeding up?" and "Why July?" Saying Earth just wanted 2020 to be over with like its inhabitants just isn't scientific. (CS)
