Giant on a New York City Subway Train - The Paranormalist

We've got an intriguing tale dating back to 2006 and taking place during the evening commute from New York City to New Jersey. That night the subway was especially crowded due to an exceedingly tall, muscled and well-dressed man who took up a great deal of space and yet went unnoticed by everyone, except the witness who wrote this report. Genetic anomaly? Paranormal entity? Ascended being? We follow this with another inexplicable story, The Time a Mysterious Phantom Driver Entered a NASCAR Race. It sounds at first like a rags to riches story, with an underdog protagonist overcoming obstacles to become a champion. Only in this case there was no information on the background of the main character, he apparently made no money, won no races, and had no identity. But he was clever enough to become a NASCAR entrant. A race-loving spook perhaps? (CM)
