Big Bird Is Back in Britain – Twice Over! - ShukerNature

Good news these days is as rare as hen's teeth, but Dr. Shuker had found some ornithological optimism to give us a little sunshine in dark times. The once-extinct Common Crane and the White Stork, have returned to UK wetlands and their numbers are increasing. These large and beautiful birds are a testament to what can be achieved when humans make space for other species to thrive. Karl then takes us to Caribbean climes to consider the Missing Macaws of the West Indies - Part 1: Riddles in Red And Yellow, writing at length here and in Part 2 about whether or not these spectacular birds ever really existed.
