The generally-accepted pattern for abduction and Contactee-type narratives receives a strong challenge in Mrherr Zaar's summary of Dr. Carol Matthews' November 30th talk at the "Anomaly Archives Saturday Streamathon Fundraiser Series Part-Two." In that
presentation, Dr. Matthews (aka "Professor WHAM") expounds upon her 2001 dissertation "Taken: Constructions of Race, Biology and Colonialism informing the Alien Abduction Narrative in the United States."
