We confess: Brent Swancer's headline made this a go-to read. It certainly is an odd story, which brought out some "sort of" supporting accounts when it was publicized five years after the encounter happened. Brent then gives us A UFO Crash in Brazil, A Mysterious Letter, and Pieces of an Alien Spaceship. Brent's introductory treatment of this important case should be supplemented by Jerome Clark's Ubatuba Residue; Dr. Peter Sturrock's Composition Analysis of the Brazil Magnesium; and the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies' most recent Analysis of the "Ubatuba" Material by Robert Powell. "[F]iery fragments" are central to this puzzling event, and Brent gives us more Bizarre Cases of UFOs and Fire.
