Harry Reid Confirms UFOs Interfered With U.S. Nuclear Missile Sites - Mysterious Universe

Taking his cue from the newly-released James Fox documentary The Phenomenon, Paul Seaburn shows former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid making the case for sussing just what's been messing with our military all these years. Nick Redfern suggests beings possessing earthly zip codes have been playing with the minds and patriotism of ufologists, with darker motives than mere tomfoolery. Nick gleans this conclusion from Stan Friedman's FBI File, the Majestic 12 Documents and the Russians. Another favorite theme has Nick journeying From the Realm of Alchemy to the World of the Men in Black. Albert Bender, famous as "the guy who began the MIB controversy in the early 1950s," also was obsessed with alchemy and fiction on that subject. And Brent Swancer relates The Totally Bonkers Tale of a Government Alien Exchange Program. Brent's treatment doesn't note the odd coincidence that the 12 earthly individuals who supposedly traveled Out Of This World matches the dozen in the 1977 movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind (see Why Close Encounters of the Third Kind Was Just as Mysterious off Screen). It's more likely the blockbuster movie helped shape the "bonkers" story that surfaced in 2005 than the reverse. (WM)
