Just in time for Halloween, this article is all about what parents, childcare providers and kindergarten teachers already know: Children are terrifying--at times. We're not talking about the weird way babies stare into your soul or the earth shaking tantrums your niece executed at the last family reunion. This article is more about children describing in detail how they or their parents died in past lives, their ability to see spooks (that psychology insists are just in their imaginations), or how their night terrors and sleep walking are reminiscent of our least favorite scenes from horror movies. In other words, we are actively living with our worst fears every single day. (CM)
