The Radical Romanticism of the Anomalist - Skunkworks

Quebec scholar-poet Bryan Sentes is thankfully back at Skunkworks after a long hiatus. He offers a thoughtful piece on the dichotomy he sees between a Fortean or anomalist on the one hand, and a debunker or skeptic on the other. Bryan paints too broad a brush, though he accurately describes the polar extremes of the two camps. Many anomalists revel in the "mundane" wonders of this world, too, and don't promote paranormal conclusions as the initial hypothesis. And many know such matters as pyramid construction are far more likely marvels of human ingenuity, rather than ET or whatever help. Rich Reynolds has a good "take" on precisely this last matter in "You Have to Wonder...". More points could be added to what Rich instances in this short thought-piece. Yet a mind always open to new information is a necessity in the anomalies as in any other field. And what Rich says in Ufology's Ignored Nooks and Crannies is also pertinent. Some of the most useful articles we profile reference other studies, which can take the reader into territory previously untrod by them, even into areas non-ufological. (WM)
