A find described as "one of the most important ancient discoveries ever made in the U.K." features a truly remarkable shield, in addition to the body of "a significant member of his society." Owen Jarus has the details. Jocelyne LeBlanc takes us much farther back in time, to an
Ancient Site Much Older Than Gobeklitepe Unearthed in Turkey. Local archaeologists are playing up this discovery, but the linked picture of the Boncuklu Tarla site doesn't exactly look prepossessing. This find does, however, give some perspective to Gobeklitepe and fills in gaps in prehistoric community development. Some thinkers believe there were far more ancient civilizations than what developed out of these 12,000-year-old-plus settlements. According to
Randall Carlson: "We Are Living Upon The Wreckage of Former Worlds". Actually, all the video class does is promote the notion that possible previous civilizations could have been wiped out by various catastrophes that appear to follow a regular cadence. But it
is a lot of fun and invites further delving into the
Sacred Geometry International website. At least Carlson portrays an interesting prehistory that makes some sense. Trevor Pyne is not willing to grant even that to the history behind Daniel J. Duke's
Jesse James and the Lost Templar Treasure: Secret Diaries, Coded Maps, and the Knights of the Golden Circle. Pyne's review
Lost Treasure, Lost Plot asserts the best part of the book is its title, because "It may inspire some form of dramatic endeavour that will be considerably more entertaining than attempting to read it." Ouch! (WM)
