Nick Redfern addresses a topic which seems obvious in hindsight but likely is something most of us have never spared a second thought. Do Sasquatch swim or bathe? Considering the stink that seems to accompany an encounter, and the often ragged appearance given in descriptions, our first answer would be Nope. But Redfern describes numerous instances where Bigfoot have been seen swimming or frolicking in the water. We admit, that makes more sense than our theory that Bigfoot was stealing boats and rowing to nearby islands off the Pacific Coast. Want to read more lighter hearted reports on Sasquatch, or any other fearsome creature? Then pick up a copy of Jason Offutt's newest book
Chasing American Monsters. As reviewed by John Rimmer in
Monster Mash, the book is meant as entertainment, not hard research, so relax and enjoy it. Need more? How about
“The Feel Good Field Guide of 2019? It's all about the new book
Cryptid Creatures by Kelly Milner Halls and Rick Spears, who are here interviewed by Krissy Eliot. The book features 50 cryptids presented in a typical "field guide" format for young readers. After reading this maybe the young ones will grow up to be cryptozoologists. (CM)
