NASA's Curiosity Rover Detects Spike in Methane on Mars - Gizmodo

Okay, who farted? NASA’s Curiosity rover discovered “startlingly high amounts of methane in the Martian air� last Wednesday. A sign of life, or just geothermal reactions? Some astrobiologists believe that Extraterrestrial Life Could Feasibly Live in Salty Puddles on Mars. They came to this conclusion after finding that bacterial life on Earth can survive even after getting completely dried out. So, yes, we can see how a little saline solution could make you excited.
